alGol is a famed star in Perseus constellation, the witch hunter who killed Medusa. Perseus stands with Medusa's head in his hand, and alGol is her blinking eye. The star does actually blink, and used to be much closer to us long ago, when its blinking would have stood out even more. alGol has a fearsome reputation, but through astronomy we find a balance of energies.
