Marie Antoinette, Sun on Head of Hydrus, 5H

Head of Hydrus is a star in the head of the male sea snake constellation. It is located at 12 Pisces 06 as of yr2000. The star auspices are derived from physical astronomy, and are arranged in three steps.

First step auspices of Head of Hydrus: #1 Get clear on status... #2 Projecting our longing... #3 Powerful sense of touch in a couple's shared pleasure... #4 Abundance of important resources.

Marie married when she was 14yo. Her husband the king of France had a condition called phimosis which means the foreskin doesn't retract so early, in childhood, and can be tight in some cases into adulthood. In his case, he couldn't fulfill his marriage duty as a husband. He couldn't have sex with his wife. He remained a virgin for years.

For Marie, this was probably a very stressful time, being in a court where in that time women were often blamed for bedroom and conception problems. After four years she took a lover, a handsome and high-born Swedish man named Count Axel von Fersen.

It's thought that Fersen was the father of two of Marie's children. Seven years into her marriage with King Louis XVI, the king got healed of his problem, and was able to consummate their marriage. Perhaps Marie was able to help him to this, having found love with Fersen. They seem to have been devoted, and Fersen was devastated when Marie was executed by revolutionaries.

Fersen did try to save both King Louis and Marie. He was always hard-pressed to save first the French monarchy and then the Swedish monarchy.

It's valuable to honor one's feelings when discovering the blessing of this star. Sexuality can be demonized but the star can help to bring sacredness and joy. The star has advice on status, which can be a useful guide. Also it gives us to check projecting.

We do find that the mob and citizenry projected their anger onto Marie because she was enjoying a luxurious life while they were in poverty adn heavily taxed (half of their income apparently, while the rich were hardly taxed). Projecting can be a serious thing, and it's important for people with this star in their charts to be conscious of how this might work, from many angles.

For resources, Marie had a small castle of her own at Versailles, where she was able to entertain her beloved. She also had great talents in art, dance and music. She loved theater and had her own theater. She had a library of a thousand books. She had wealth in her own right, being daughter of the emperor (who was based in Austria). Her citizenship also helped give her options for escape but this failed. Her own husband was a decent man it seems, and didn't take any mistress like so many kings did. Marie was a fashion icon, and tried to be charitable. She had a blessed life, but a harsh end.
